I made a few posts, and I have pretty much given up on my gpu (RX 580 armor 4gb), because I can't repair it myself and it will cost too much to repair.

So, I'm going to bake it as a final shot. What's the right "recipe" (haha) to do so?

From what research I've done, I've learned to:

- Disassemble the card (remove all plastic bits possible without damaging it)

- Elevate it on a baking sheet, with the die facing down (not sure if this is correct)

- Bake for 12 minutes @ 385 degrees (open/close the oven door once every other minute to vent it, not sure if this is correct)

- Test boot before putting heatsink back on, but shut it off before 30 seconds has passed

- If it works now, reassemble card and test

You can see my other posts for an explanation, but pretty much the second and fourth quarters of the RX 580 I got scammed on are artifacting and it seems to be a memory issue (I'm no expert, I'm just going off of what people have told me)

Don't do it in an oven you use for preparing food. And don't do it in a microwave oven.

The better approach would be a heat gun.

Just make sure you put few layers of aluminium foil under it, if anything leaks it can be extremely toxic (aka you need to throw the baking tray away in case of any contact). Also ventilate you kitchen very very very well in case of any fumes.

Regarding rest:

- When dissasembling make sure you clean all thermal paste

- Die should face up or stuff can fall off

Don't remember the rest, it's been long time since I had to do this lol
