I've got a i7-4770 on a asus z87-A with a coolermaster hyper 212 evo on it, with a asus 3GB 660 ti DCUII OC edtion and I'd like to overclock the CPU from its 3.4 to the most stable next Ghz and the GPU as well.and my case is the ultra gladiator mid tower.

Just listed to look nicer :)

CPU: i7-4770  (NO K just a stock 4770)

HeatSink: Hyper 212 EVO

GPU: 3GB Asus 660 TI DUII OC edtion

Mobo: Asus z87-A

Case: ultra gladiator

I do have the Asus GPU tweak but Id like to do it though the UEFI/Bios because I want to be able to completely power off my system on turn it on again and keep the overclock, :)

You don't have the 4770K do you? If so you're not going to go very far when overclocking...

I dont really want to go too far. but yes its just a stock 4770 no K

Yikes. You're only going to be able to adjust the BCLK which even than is going to get you to maybe 4Ghz tops..

4Ghz is a killer overclock

The turbo on your chip is 3.9Ghz...

3.8 but Is there a way to make it run at that all the time

set the bclk to 102 and see what happens if its ok go up to 103, then 104, i don't think youll get past 105.. as for the gpu oc, you cant do them in the bios. the best way to keep it is the set it as a profile in gpu teak and apply at start up, then set gpu tweak to open minimised when you start up your pc. then your gpu clock will be on as soon as you boot up

Use ASUS multi-core enhancement that will force all CPU cores to run at max turbo (3.9 I thought, it's +4 bins from stock 3.5 I believe). Then fiddle with blck, you'll probably get 4GHz if you're lucky which is still great.

The difference will be so negligible since you're severely limited due to your non K CPU. Best to leave it at stock; not worth it.

how do I go about setting bclk?

go in to the bios and press f7 or click on advanced mode. then go into ai tweaker then change the cpu strap to 102. should look something like image below.

ok and then after that?

exit>save changes and reset then it will hopefully reboot into window and should be slightly faster at 3.570ghz. if that is stable raise it to 103, 104, 105 106, then when its unstable take it back to the last stable value and thats it

The turbo on your chip is 3.9Ghz...

The 4770 is clocked at 3.9 GHz when only one or two of its cores are in use. Past that the turbo goes down.  Least that is what I read from reviews of Turbo 2.0. I THINK 3.7 on 4 cores. I could test it if no one knows for sure on cinebench before the red wings game starts :).

CPU:24/7-4770k @ 4.5ghz/4.0 cache @ 1.22V override, 1.776 VCCIN. MB: Z87-G41 PC Mate. Cooling: Hyper 212 evo push/pull. Ram: Gskill Ares 1600 CL9 @ 2133 1.56v 10-12-10-31-T1 150 TRFC. this may not work but its worth a try

download and install xtu

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/23743/eng/XTU-Setup-exe.exe〈=eng&Dwnldid=23743&ProductID=3483&keyword=%22%22extreme+tuning+utility%22%22

under the manual tuning tab try and adjust the reference clock. if you can, go up in small increments like jumper suggested

does it let you adjust the active core multipliers?

it may not be functional at all
