Elden ring chugging

Hey. I started playing ER yesterday, but

I'm getting some noticable lag/chugging from time to time. Would anyone have and idea where the bottleneck could lie.

 

My specs are 

Ryzen 7 3700x

GTX 1080ti

16gb 3000mhz ddr4 ram

500gb nvme ssd (pcie gen 4)

 

Oh also i lowered my graphical settings all the way to low/medium. But this had no effect.

it has nothing to do with your PC, it's general, it's a game problem. Probably DRM.

this game doesn't have denuvo just standard steam/epic DRM that any normal game has. so i don't see that affecting the performance

I'm about to get home and try the game. Seems like this is the PC issue in general as 40% steam reviews are people having this issue... 

 

IDK for sure but maybe worth to try these steps...
