the i5 12400f is more powerful, i would suggest a 650w psu because 500w is not enough, i think Corsair RMx (2018) 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (CP-9020178-NA) - PCPartPicker would be good, have a good day :DD
