Hey everyone,

I'm struggling to find what I'm looking for, hopefully someone around here has an answer?

I'm looking for a Wireless Router with L2TP with pre-shared key support (as a client not a server) so that I can connect to my work VPN and leave it connected, and shift my devices onto that network rather than setting up each individual device to use a VPN.

I originally tried a TP Link AC1750 but it didn't support pre-shared key.

Thanks,

Scott

That's because L2TP itself doesn't support encryption.  What you probably have is L2TP over IPsec where you use the pre-shared key on IPsec then use L2TP over that tunnel.

You might need a more business oriented router such as a Mikrotik, or setup a PC with pfSense or OPNsense.

I see some discussion of ASUS possibly working on it, but can't find confirmation if they ever added it or not.

ASUS B650E-F GAMING WIFI + R7 7800X3D + 2x Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30-36-36-76  + ASUS RTX 4090 TUF Gaming OC
