Do I need to reduce the in game resolution for the DLSS to take effect?

No. The act of enabling DLSS reduces the render resolution, and it then upscales back to the target.

You set your target resolution by selecting the resolution you want to play at like normal. Then enable dlss and it will do it's magic. You don't need to do anything else.

so i just have to leave my resolution at 1920x1080 and turn on dlss?
