What settings are you running?
Install msi afterburner and monitor temps, clocks
Update gpu drivers

Oh and also make sure you are pluged in and not on battery and check you are on high perfomance mode

Nothing is overheating, so that cant be the problem, but my drivers were very outdated (i still was on 427.2), but maybe it can be that there is no battery present, but its plugged into the charger

Set your optimus settings so that the game launches on the dgpu

I have an ASUS G14 2021 with Manjaro KDE and I am a professional Linux NoOB and also pretty bad at General Computing.

You can set Pc building sim to run on your dGPU by going to settings > display > advanced graphics settings (should be a link at the very bottom) and from there, select the .exe file of it and select high performance which will run it on your dGPU. I had this issuewhere I thought Minecraft was underperforming when what actualy happened was the iGPU being used since it was recognized as a non-demanding app so itgot associated with the iGPU

When i go to advanced display settings i dont see a option to choose if it is a demanding app
