New motherboard can't find boot drive

So I just bought the Asus Rog maximus z690 hero motherboard, I updated the bios and realized that it's not displaying any boot drives but after messing around with CSM and UEFI files I was able to get my HDD and one of my SSD's to show up but not my boot drive

 

When I boot the PC I get this message in the picture below saying my boot drive which is the 970 EVO 1tb is (Under RAID controller) please help

Uhh try to boot priorty that drive.

it looks its fine.

How do I boot priority? I don't see any options for that. Boot drive doesn't show up

in the boot section in BIOS

That's the thing my bootdrive doesn't show up lol just my samsung 860 evo ssd and hard drive, my bootdrive is the 970 evo 1tb

ok, umm, can you take a picture of the boot drive choices?

Maybe try reseating and cleaning the gold contacts on the bootdrive

I have no clue what I did but somehow my sata drives appeared but still no NVME 970 evo bootdrive but here is the picture and where my boot drive is labeled as RAID

The motherboard has no problem reading the NVME drive since it actually shows up on my drive list but the problem is that it doesn't show up as a bootable drive

Nope nothing, I resented my bios settings and now no drives show up but they are listed lol I give up

try a different slot?

Since it's a new motherboard and it's 12th gen then I think I have to upgrade to windows 11 for it to show up maybe

No it shouldn’t need to do that

if you are not using raid.. turn it off.. in bios set m.2 slots to ahci. 

 

if you want to boot from it and install windows too it. you may have to download ahci/raid drivers and put them on a flashdrive... actualy put it on the windows install usb.. so you can reach it directly.. unpacked in it's own directory.
