hey guys.

i believe its difficult to buy something without having a chance to sit for few moments. are there chairs that you can blindly buy and be sure it wont hurt your back? im willing to spend around $500 if its worth the money.

I would recommend a conventional, ergonomic office chair. Don't buy a "gaming" chair, as they generally are made out of cheap materials, and overpriced due to all the money they spent on "hype" (marketing).

If you DO want a chair that is in that particular "gaming" or "racing" style, then Secret Lab is a good option, as they actually use good materials.

Also, @danomicar is spot on. Herman Miller make the best office chairs out there.

Take a look at used Herman Miller Aerons. They come up fairly often from office clear outs/liquidations. Just make sure you get the right size A, B, C are small to large in that order.

I bought one new a few months ago. Once it's adjusted to your posture, it's very comfortable and supportive and will last.

Yeah skip gaming chairs def. Aside from more known quality brands and chairs as well as used. Check Neuechair I have one and I'm very satisifed.

As far as blind chair buying I go with a Serta® Smart Layers™ Hensley Big And Tall Ergonomic Bonded Leather High-Back Chair. I am on my second chair after the first one broke down after 7 years of hard service 3 of which I was chair bound due to a work injury so extreme 14-18 hour periods spent in that chair with a back injury to boot.

I had to drive an extra 100 miles to find a store that had that chair in stock when I was looking for a replacement but I have yet to find something even close to how this thing feels. It does have one glaring flaw however: The armrest (usually the left) will consistently work itself loose so I keep the included T-handle hex wrench handy and keep the plastic bolt covers off so I give it a quick tightening once every few weeks or months.

"The Codex Electronica does not support this overclock."

That means nothing to me, as there's about 9999 different types of seating from various manufacturers.

Also, it's highly unlikely that you're going to get a good fit from an HM or any other highly adjustable chair--after sitting in it for 2 seconds.  Lumbar tension, lumbar support position, seat tilt, seat depth--too many adjustments to tell.

Also, since most mass-transit seating I've used is a cushion attached to hard, molded plastic, perhaps what you need is a kitchen chair with a seat cushion.
