So, i've been having this problem with my pc for a while now.

(sorry for my bad english)

I bought a pre built pc from a guy near me and everything was good. No problems in the beginning.

But after 2 weeks or so, the system was starting to act weird. I knew it was the GPU, i had a RX570 at the time. The pc would randomly crash when playing games.

The problem always occured when i pressed alt+tab while playing a game. The screen would go black, but the pc was still on though.

Not so long after that, my dad bought a new pc so i could get his old card. It's a Sapphire RX580 Nitro + 8GB. I was hoping the problem wouldn't occur again.

But after like a month the problem was there again. But this time it wasn't everytime i pressed alt+tab when in game. It just would happen twice a week. Still very annoying though.

I thought it was my power supply because it was only 450watts. But 450 had to be enough for my build.

Last week, i bought a new power supply anyway. I bought a Corsair RM650x. I was hoping it would finally solve the problem. But it didn't. The pc shut itself off again 10 minutes ago.

It's getting very annoying now and i really have no idea where it comes from. I also tried other radeon software versions. Didn't help either.

I hope someone can help me with this.

My parts:

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600

CPU Cooler:  Xilence A250PWM Performance C

Motherboard: Gigabyte B450m S2H V2

Memory: Corsair RGB Vengeance pro DDR4 16gb 3200mhz

GPU: Sapphire RX580 Nitro + 8GB

Power Supply: Corsair RM650x

Case: Sharkoon DG7000-G

OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

First, your english is better than most native speakers, so don't worry about that lol.

Second, 3200mhz on ram is not always attainable on first gen ryzen cpus, with a fair number being unstable above 2933mhz. Try disabling your xmp profile and seeing if the problem persists. Also like G-Man said, try to get a reading of your temps from either afterburner or hw info when it crashes. If you have a second monitor you can use that's the easiest way, just open it on the second panel and keep alt tabbing randomly while keeping an eye on your temps each time.

So i tried some stuff you suggested. My gpu temps were not going any higher than 69 degrees. I tried it while playing F1 2021, pc worked fine.

The annoying thing with this issue is that the crashes are completely random. The crashes are not guaranteed when i alt+tab, so it's hard to actually determine the temps when it's crashing. And if it's crashing both screens are going black ofcourse. So monitoring temps while having a crash isn't duable i guess 😞

I didn't try disabling xmp or docp because it was only a month ago when i enabled those settings, because i completely forgot to clock it at 3200mhz, so it always ran at like 2133mhz. And at the time it ran at those speeds, the problem was already there.

I presume youre using windows 10? Is it up to date? Alt+Tab makes windows toggle between apps, so I thought your problem might be software related. Or check what other apps are running in the background.

Yeah my windows is up to date. Checked task manager, but nothing weird in there
