Never mind a found a new adapter that plugs into PSU. Also for context it was so I could use the remote with it.

No it doesn't. You'll (probably) destroy the LEDs that way.

Some RGB controller uses this. If you have ThermalTake Plus series controller, you'll need this to power up the controller (they do give you an adapter, but it's molex to floppy power cable adapter.

You should tell what's in the other end. As you may have noticed, that does matter since these connectors look alike.

If that connector is 20 mm wide, as it appears to be from the size of your thumb, it most definitely will not fit a floppy disk. A floppy has a 45 mm wide plug which takes a ribbon cable and a 4 pin 10 mm wide plug mounted on the board which would take a 12 mm wide socket at the most. The 4 pin plug in a hard disk (pre SATA) is 20 mm wide but doesn't have a keyway (lump of plastic on it) as per your picture and also two beveled edges which your plug doesn't have.
