So instead of the next phone upgrade my father actually let me chose between a new phone or a pc upgrade, since i still have a good intact iphone 11 i went with the pc upgrade

TL;DR I’m gonna get a pc upgrade but i don’t know which specs to upgrade

my specs are:

-Intel Core i7-8700 6x 3,20GHz

-2x RAM DDR4-RAM - 8GB 2666MHz Crucial

-Mainboard Asus Prime H310M-K

-500w power supply

-GeForce GTX 1060, 6GB GDDR5

Thanks for the help :)

It will depend on how much you have to spend and what you plan on doing, but if this is just supposed to be a gaming PC, put all your money into upgrading the GPU, and depending on what card you can get/afford, the PSU and maybe the case if it's an overly hot card and your current case is a hot box.

I sadly don’t know a lot about pc parts as a whole so i would greatly appreciate it if you could give me some examples in that price range, i would most likely buy something stupid and bottleneck one part really badly

What country are you in? Depending where you're at a 3070 seems possible, though that will depend on your country and product availability that might not be feasible.

Order from the netherlands or order in germany as there are many enough available. As for your pc what case do you have? If you don't know can you send a picture from the front and side?

Either way psu upgrade is in order so that is about 70-100€ out of the budget which means a 3070,3070ti or 6800xt are within budget.

Either way before any of that what are you planning on doing on the computer?

Oh that thing is going to struggle with airflow when a 3070 is in there. Thats like a over a decade old carppy budget case. If possible for you I recommend you switch it for something decent. Like a phanteks p300a or p360a should be a 60€ case. Also no 3070 would fit in that limited space either so it's basically a must do.

800€ for a 3070 is actually a rather decent price nowadays in europe I doubt you'll find one cheaper.

if you got he 3070 route I recommend a rmx 750w psu as an upgrade. If the 8700 is still using the stock cooler a cheap upgrade to a hyper 212 will also help keep it cool and run at higher boost frequencies.

Do you think it’s worth it writing a script so i can get one from the official nvidia site, or is that even allowed?

but yeah i will need to upgrade my case

do you think a new mainboard would be necessary aswell?

All the founders edition cards have long since stopped being sold.

It's not a great board but just about ok enough for a 8700 non k. So no need

The scripting well whilst I personally don't like it all the scalpers are doing it to get the cards so you'd basically be evening the playing field a little (not too much since the bigger groups have heaps of systems running vs your 1 home pc)

Oh and btw i kind of read the price wrong, the cheapest prices would be around 900€+- 50

All of them have like different names, are they also different in the specs or is that just the same

Oh that seems more normal sadly. Either way finding a 3070 for near msrp in europe is nearly impossible.

So uhm to basically summarize everything what I need is

-a 3070 (maybe 3060)

-phanteksp300a or p360a case

- a 750w power supply
- what would you think about a cpu

upgrade?

and for further upgrades after everything else is finished maybe a new mainboard

and also what was the difference between the different 3070‘s on rhe market, for example there is a Asus GeForce RTX 3070 8GB DUAL V2

And there is a

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING OC 8G
