So in todays market I would think its probably easier to buy a pre built instead of building my own. I have a budget of about €2000 and I want a system to run FPS and basically any other game except for vr. I have no idea what brands are reliable so I would appreciate if you guys could help me out. Thank you (I am living in Ireland)

NZXT (However their cases are god awful)  and iBUYPOWER are the two I would suggest. Then again, I tend to try to steer people away from prebuilt systems. However, these two companies seem to do alright in my eyes.

Best of luck! Let us know if there are other questions you may have.

Cases aren’t awful they’re easy to build in. Thermal performance is massively overblown, if you’re not overclocking the difference between your CPU being 70 instead of 55 isn’t going to do much

Easy to build in, sure. They look pretty cool too, but paying a premium for a case that provides worse thermals than cases $40-50 cheaper, is not a good case, at least to me.

Depends if the thermals matter, if you’re not overclocking you shouldn’t be near any thermal limits regardless of case

I've got a Revolt 3 from ibuypower. I've got the i7 + 3080 config, and I really like it. It fits on my entertainment stand very nicely, and the thermals/noise great.

When I lived in Ireland, I had some friends who ordered machines from overclockers.co.uk, but given the Brexit mess I'm not sure if it's better for you to order from a continental store like ibuypower.de or a UK one.

If you find a PC that might be okay, you can post it here and people will let you know what they think. But we'll need to know what resolution you plan to game at too. You trying to do 4k HDR, 1440p, or 1080p?

I know that’s the common wisdom here and it’s not without merit. But, building a PC vs buying a pre-built is one of those things where you’re trading time for money.

Personally, I always recommend people look at their budget and if they’d rather spend money and save time, pre builts are a good deal.
