Really strange "deterioration" in my computer's functionality

Hello, so my computer has been having this same problem since I built it. At the beginning it will work fine, but then I notice something slightly off, like something not going away after pressing close or a video not playing with there still being sound. Then I test other functionalities of my computer, like closing windows and opening the menu, and they work fine. At this point, it seems like buttons register that I've clicked on them, but nothing happens, and also I press ctrl, alt, del and click on task manager, it takes me back to my window, but doesn't open task manager. Then, within a minute, it seems as if everything seizes except for the mouse. I can't click buttons or input with my keyboard. At this point, I have to hold the power button for my computer to shut down, and restart it

This happens about every other day and sometimes it will happen multiple times in one day as well, but I feel it is getting more frequent. I have tried lowering the frequency of my ram, maybe it worked a bit in the first few days, but I'm not sure. I will try and get footage of when this happens.
