i just built my first pc and want to make it look as nice as it runs. I’m very new so I’m a little confused on what cables I need. I’ve been on a couple cable modding websites but none are simple enough for this newbie lol

Case- 4000d airflow

PSU- EVGA 1000w (model  120-gp-1000-x1)

MOBO- Gigabyte B560 DS3H AC

cpu- i7 11700kf

gpu- Radeon 6900xt reference

Just buy a premade cable ?
If you want to fully custom the color scheme, your best bet is Cablemod.

If you are okay with pre-determined color scheme, there should be various brands from budget to high end on newegg & amazon.

For full standard set for your pc, you will need :
1x ATX 24pin.
1x 8pin EPS
2x PCI-E 8pin

There is approximately 99% chance I edited my post

So you can just order cables based on your build. Example, you know your GPU requires two 8 PIN PCIE plugs and order those for your PSU. However you won't know the length. You could just order the stock or default length, but then you have extra length to deal with.

You have a couple options:

- You OEM cables for your PSU, route them, then decide how much longer or shorter you want them (most likely it will be shorter). Then order your custom cables, when they arrive swap them out.

- Use wire, or string, to mock it up to determine how long you want the cables when they are routed the way you want them.

Both these will also end up letting you know how many cables you need. Such as two GPU cables, two CPU cables, one SATA cable, etc.

The downside to ordering very specific lengths is if your build changes your custom cables may no longer work. So keep this in mind. You may want to deal with slightly longer cables that you need to hide, but can use the cables for another motherboard or case in the future if you re-use that PSU.

Just off the info you given, it looks like you might look into:

24 pin ATX

8 pin PCI-E (Qty 2)  (I would get a bridged one 8+8 single of these)

1 - 8 Pin EPS

Do you have any SATA drives?

I’d like to go the custom route and choose the color. I don’t mind having longer cables if it means I have more options in the future. There are 2 cables above the GPU on the right side labeled F_U32 and F_U32C. Then 1 more behind the gpu I think it’s a sata cable?
