what cables to use

I have the ROG Strix SCAR 15 G533 G533QS-DS98 

1x HDMI 2.0b

3x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A

1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C support DisplayPort™

those are the ports that it has I have the Samsung odyssey g7 32 inch monitor wondering if it is possible and what cable I need to get 1440p at 240hz if possible?

You should be able to get a USB C to DP cable that should work since your port supports Display Port.

but will my laptop be able to support 1440 @ 240hz It has a nivida rtx 3080 laptop and an amd ryzen 9 5900hx

If this has the DisplayPort 1.4 Spec than you can get the full QHD@240hz through that. otherwise you will be stuck at 144hz on both this port and the HDMI port.

Just looked up the Product page and you're in luck. They list DP 1.4 Support over USB-C. It even supports G-Sync over USB.

Yes that cable list support for 8k 60hz so it has to be DisplayPort 1.4

I have the same notebook and monitor. The recommended cable does not support the monitor, according to the description on amazon.
