Looking for a 1440p Monitor!!

Harrisonw

I recently upgraded to a 3070 TI and I am looking to upgrade my monitor to a 27in, 1440p, 165Hz+ display. I am looking to stay under $450 and have a strict budget. I also greatly care about colors and brightness and I am looking for the best that I can get with $450. I would rather it be flat but if it is curved it isn’t the worst thing. Please help!

The Gigabyte M27Q (27", 1440p, 170Hz) is a very strong contender in that price bracket:

Seems like it's US$320 on almost all retailers, so if you're in the US this is right up your alley.

It's entirely possible that I misinterpreted/misread your topic and/or question. This happens more often than I care to admit. Apologies in advance.

The M27Q is a great value oriented choice. But there are much better options available for the budget OP mentioned. For $450 the MSI MAG274QRF-QD is also available and is quite a bit better than the M27Q.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Thanks for the recommendation! Could you give some reasons why the msi is better?

Better response times, better color gamut coverage and most important it uses a standard RGB subpixel layout. The M27Q uses a BGR subpixel layout which will negatively impact text clarity.

For details you can have a look at this comparison:

Gigabyte M27Q vs MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD Side-by-Side Monitor Comparison - RTINGS.com

The MSI MAG 274QRF-QD is simply the best 1440p 144Hz-class montior before the point of diminishing returns. For the next significant step up in terms of features or performance you will have to pay around $800. (getting into 4K 144Hz or 1440p 240Hz monitors)

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Also what are your thoughts on the Dell 27 Gaming Monitor - S2721DGF? It seems to be on sale and a very good value.

It's better than the M27Q in most aspects. It just has a slightly worse contrast ratio.

How much are the M27Q, S2721DGF and MAG274QRF-QD in your region?

Pricing is pretty much the deciding factor here.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
