Hi there, i've upgraded my pc about 2 months ago, came from an i7 7700k on a rog strix maximus 9 mobo to a i5 11600k on an rog strix z590 gaming f mobo. since the first boot it has been acting weird, i cant get into bios while having a display cable in my gpu (1080ti), it only works when i disconnect that cable and plug it into the onboard. but thats not all, about 8 out of 10 boots the gpu will only boost to 240 mhz, this requires restarting untill it works, it works but its really starting to annoy me.

Now my question is, does anybody know a fix? highest priority is the gpu low boost fix.

A few things, have you tried every port on the GPU?  I've had strange issues where it will pick a specific port when in the BIOS rather than the one the monitor is plugged into.

As for the GPU clocks, was this a fresh OS install?

ASUS B650E-F GAMING WIFI + R7 7800X3D + 2x Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30-36-36-76  + ASUS RTX 4090 TUF Gaming OC

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) Backup: GL.iNet GL-X3000/ Spitz AX Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz) WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz)
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~1200Mbit down, 115Mbit up, variable)

update ur bios

update chipset drivers

ddu driver

fresh windows install

(probably in that order i guess)

this is probably somehow caused by the mobo change and any of the above  might fix it.

Yes it's on every port of the gpu, and as close as a fresh install, didnt have time back then to do a fresh install. will try that in the coming days

Generally speaking I wont do fresh installs between similar generations (most of the chipset stuff stays the same) but when big things change like PCIe versions you don't want to risk older drivers conflicting.

Also make sure in the BIOS its not set to have the iGPU as the primary display.
