Hello all, I am doing a quick little post for my class for Computers and I was going to be comparing the 5000 series chips to each other.

I am using the stable variable of a Cooler Master Hyper 212 BE, no OC and PBO being off in the BIOS.

Need people to suggest temps, as I do have this current setup, I need them for the 5800x, 5900x and 5950x

I get temps up to 74c on BFV, not sure if that's good or not, idk

74C is perfectly fine. As to getting other people's temps for the entire 5000 series line, you'd need a fantastically large sample size or the results will be meaningless. You'd have to compare the CPUs using the same cooler, case, fan config, thermal compound, ambient temps, etc., as well as using the same synthetic load, or have a large enough sample size that you can draw a standard deviation.

For example, in something like Cinebench R23 MC my 5900X hits 76C. But, I'm undervolted with an Artic Liquid Freezer II 280mm AIO and a case with good airflow. The 5900X pulls over double the wattage of something like a 5600X, so if I put it in your system, with your cooling solution, it would probably thermal throttle.

nevermind my 90c with stock, under 80 and further below is fine. 80-100c is the worse temps to have, more so if used 24/7 or if you are going to OC.

What would happen if you ran it like that

like from google, as you will have some features that will prevent major damage.

"90-100ºC is the threshold at which most CPU's are throttling to prevent overheating,".
Although it can still degrade it over time, from over longer periods. Also can be more of an issue if you are pushing the limits with OC and higher temps, that by over time you might have to reduce the OC in order to run stable again.

70C is totally fine for temps.

Don’t forget about OTP.. both my 5600 and 5900 will trip at around 100c.. I haven’t seen an OCP warning yet.. not pushing hard enough I guess.
