The thermal paste spread indicates full contact and no I am using a AIO the Corsair H80i.

Try running the PC on its side briefly to clear the loop of any bubbles or something

I Blew my PC clean of dust then after reconnecting all my cable back to my PC it turned on all my fans worked as usual then during the start up my computer shutoff. I then tried again a few minutes uses later and started BIOS where I could see through several tests that my cpu would quickly rise to 94C then my computer shut offs. What would cause my CPU to heat up so quickly and to such a point while under no load just booting up. It's a AMD FX-8350 on a MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard.

could be improper contact between the CPU and the cooler. Are you using an air cooler?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Even though it is weird as why this happened, the best might be to remove the cooler, remove the CPU, clean the paste and replace if possible, and reinstall it all.
Check the screws. maybe one detached and only 3 a left, leaving the cooler slightly sideways due to the tension, and without direct contact to the CPU

can you hear the pump when you power on the system and is the header the pump is plugged into set to 100% and not a default fan curve or off?

you should be able to feel the pump running with you finger on the part covering the CPU.

if the pump is running, and the fans are spinning, it's likely the contact between the cpu and AIO

I have taken the cpu out then reseated it and replaced the thermal paste all 4 screws are in place and appears to keep direct contact.

Yes I can hear the pump power on even when my cpu is under heavy load while playing a game it rarely gets to or above 60C. And it should be a contact problem between the AIO and CPU which is why this is such a mystery for me.

I'm assuming the header was set to 100% or pump was plugged into a sata or molex.

Could be an air lock but it sounds like you've already moved the AIO around a few times which would move the air around.

Resetting CMOS and checking all the bios settings would be my next step. The H80i mount isn't known for having issues with pressure or mounting off angle so this one is a mystery to me too.

Resetting CMOS didn't work unfortunately so will have to wait and try to hopefully find the problems.

It's working... this I spent so long trying to figure this out. I took my computer apart and put it together and just turning it on its side is what I has to do. It keeps it cool when it's on its side but then overheats when I put it back upright guess I have a sideways pc now. Still thank you for the helps I thought me messing with it so much earlier would have gotten rid of any air but I guess I was wrong.
