what games are you playing and what fps are you getting?
If you dont absolutely need to buy a new GPU maybe wait for pricing to go back to normal:
What case do you currently have?
It might be cheaper to just get some fans and add them to the case instead of buying a complete new case

What PSU do you have? That would be very important for figuring out what caliber of GPU you can use. Also how much you want to spend, since a 10100f would do just fine with a lot of higher end GPUs, so knowing how much you want to spend can help you get the best performance for your dollar.

A 1060 6GB or 1070 are about the most you need for basic 1080p gaming, but higher caliber cards like the 2060 Super being nice to haves for higher settings and refresh rates.

Which 550w PSU? If its a good one a used 1070 would slot in there just nice. They're going on eBay for about $350-400 and would perform pretty nice at 1080p.

That said, since you already have a card, you should probably try for a 3050, 3060, or RX 6600. If you can get them close to MSRP they will likely perform better for the same amount of money.

I’m gonna try to get the 3050 from nvidias website on the 27ths, would that need a higher watt psu? i also wanna make sure I have enough fans to cool down my system

In terms of raw wattage, no, 500w is fine. That said, it will depend on the quality of the 550w PSU. There are some that aren't worth the metal they're made out of, and some that are pretty bulletproof.

Also try for a higher priced 3050 instead. You might end up spending closer to $350-400 for it, but you have a much better chance of getting it than one of the $250 cards.

They don't usually show up with listings until the day before or sometimes the day of. In the US its places like Newegg, Best Buy, and Amazon, but I'm not from the UK so don't really know the computer stores around there.

Alright sound good! While you’re here you have any recommendations for a budget cpu cooler up to 155mm?

The Vetroo V5 is an amazing cooler for about $25 US. It's 148mm tall, performs more than adequate for a 10100f, and RGB.

I signed up for the 3080 FTW3 queue from EVGA 3 days after the launch and it took about 8 months for my chance to buy it. I also signed up for the more expensive 3060 XC GAMING on the same day when I could and got my named pulled a week or so later. Used the 3060 until I could get my 3080 😉

But yeah, I'd the 3050 XC makes more sense to likely get picked sooner. But the trick is signing up as soon as it goes live.

Basically with the GPUpocalypse it seems like the AIO's are making more of the SKU with higher margins.
