Sounds like that Laptop has it's GTX 1650 running in Idle too.

Usually with "normal tasks" like Word, Excel, Spotify, you shouldn't be able to kill it within 2 hours.

Gaming Notebooks are usually tuned to have maximum performance. CPU is a H-series with 45w, GPU also draws alot of Power.

Any Ultrabook or Model without a dedicated GPU should last at LEAST 6-7 hours.

Dell XPS 15 9310, according to Notebookcheck, lasts for like 7 hours. But that's with a 3,5k Oled Screen. And that's with a massive 86 Wh Battery.

If you're not tied to Windows, how about a Macbook Air M1, or even the Macbook Pro M1? With only Excel, Word and Spotify, they WILL last you much more than 8-10 hours. My M1 Macbook Pro once lasted 8 hours with basic Office, and only lost 40% Battery during that time. I have no chance in killing it in a day.

Even in a Zoom conference with Cam and Mic on, it lasts for over 10 hours.

Or: If you have a Desk for working, consider a Docking Station with Power Delivery. So you connect the Notebook to a Desktop Monitor and gets charged atr the same time.

Try silent mode but turn it off when plugging in your laptop and gaming or else it will reduce performance. You lose a bit of fps turning on silent mode but your battery lasts longer
