Hello guys!

I have some problems with my network. My main problem is rubberbanding atm...

My system is set up like this

Fiber in the ISP provided box and cable from that to the WAN port in the first mesh router. I have the second one upstairs in my "office" this one is now wireless but I have an option for cable on this one from the one the second. I guess i shouldnt put that one in the wan port (?)

The thing is that when i srag my cable from my computer down to the first router and main box i get the speed i pay for 500/500mbps and no rubberbanding.

But when i connect my pc to the one in my office i only get 300/300mbps, even if it is by cable or wirelss and rubberbanding...

Why is this?

Checked to see if it was the cable running from the hallway and up but that one is Cat 5E and that supports up to 1gbps so cable is not the problem...

Please help..

Model name is : ASUS AiMesh AC1900 ( RT AC67U )

Have a nice evening fantastic people!

Just to confirm, when you say you have the option for a cable on the secondary AiMesh device, do you mean you have a cable running from the primary AiMesh device all the way to the secondary one? If so, what speed do you get connecting your PC directly to that cable?

If I have misunderstood and you just mean you are hard wiring your PC in to the secondary AiMesh which then uses wireless backhaul to the primary one then the drop in speed is just a limitation of the wireless connection between the 2 devices.
