8861 still has an RJ-9 connector that can be used for headsets, you should be fine.

Hi All,
Very odd question but... I work in a crisis support call center and use my Arctis pro wired with DAC with the current Cisco phones we use using. I currently plug into the phone using the mobile port on the DAC and then use a 3.5mm to RJ9 adapter to plug into the phone, plus I use the USB port on the computer to provide the power.

My work is changing to Cisco 8861 phones which use USB connectors now. Does anyone know if my headset will work with these new phones?  Either via something like a 3.5mm to usb adaptor (I am guessing they exist as there are dongles for using headsets with mobiles that don't have headphone jacks) or by plugging the usb from the DAC directly into the phone?

Thanks

Sorry for the slow reply. But thank you so much for this. Looks like I can use the RJ-9 Port like I have been on the current Cisco phones we use. I am so glad as the headsets they give us pick up so much noise from other people talking and also are open ear headsets so I can hear everyone talking.
