I have been running my own YouTube channel for some time and I always use Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) to record my videos.

I never had any trouble up till a few days ago after I upgraded my PC.

I changed some components on my PC, including MoBo, case, and GPU.

After a clean install of Windows 7, I setup everything as it was before in OBS, but for some reason it is dropping frames due to encoder lag.

This should technically not be happening with my PC, especially since parts have been upgraded. The main cause of this problem might me that something is eating so much CPU that it causes this lag.

Any of you here have an idea what might have caused this sudden CPU usage?

My PC stats in random order:

- ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 mobo

- AMD FX-8150 CPU

- Cooler Master V8 CPU cooler

- Corsair AX760 PSU

- Asus R9 290 GPU

- 16GB of Corsair Vengeance Pro series RAM

Same problem!! I keep dropping frames! I can't even broadcast! It was working perfectly at first, though! But I haven't used it in months.

A few days ago, before the upgrade/update of my case everything was running so smooth.

I think the MoBo might be the problem and I'm about to update the BIOS to see if that helps.

The CPU temp is a bit high I think. Don't know whats normal, but at ideal it even sometimes gets to 45 degrees Celsius....
