Micro B to USB3 Cables Difference
Go to solution
Solved by Kaaverik,
I do not think there would be much of a difference aside from a small bump in slower and faster transfer speeds between brands. Since USB 3 is a standard the cables have to be built to handle the throughput of the data required by the standard. Every manufacturer can change the cable appearance in any way they want, but at the end of the day it just has to meet USB transfer speeds
Also, all hard drives will operate at a somewhat reduced speed due to seeking, reading and writing times, which for a sata disk just happens to be 600Mb/s, the same transfer speed as USB 3.
