same thing is still happening over a year later...

every time I log in it sends a code...

same browser same machine same ip same location etc

i don't even log out,  just closing the browser is enough to "we dont recognize this device" like they don't use cookies or something,  jc.

Any ideas how to fix this? preferably without 2fa, which is even more inconvenient and probably even more unreliable (i mean they apparently cant even store session/ login cookies)

Have you tried a different browser?

I am not 100% sure with how often i had to log in already but i think it doesn't do it on my phone (different browser indeed)

but i don't really want to install another browser on my pc tbh (using chrome) its not even installing but putting my password that makes me real uneasy... i only trust chrome, and especially if something should go wrong they cant blame "the other dude" lol...

still i don't have this issue anywhere else, sure most sites will log you out occasionally,  like once a month or so, but this thing every time 🤔

You blocking cookies/running lots of ad-blockers/script-blockers?

nope, i have uBlockOrigin at default settings and thats it......

i thought of that, its actually blocking 2 things on the site, i guess I'll try to find out what that is thats being blocked...

ok if i see this right, it blocks googletagmanager and "newrelic.com"

Unfortunately, so many sites rely on Google services for....who knows what....and blocking them breaks stuff.

You can always turn it off/whitelist that site, and see what happens.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

yeah good point,  it sounds like it could be used for something like that.

Thanks im gonna try to unblock it, tbh both "services" sound sus, i see why ublock would block them... but somehow they need to "track" you , maybe (i would personally just use cookies like any other website does apparently 🤔

its weird, if i do something that requires me to log in it doesn't send a code, but as soon I close and reopen the browser "SECURITY ALERT 🚔" ensues... 🙃

It is highly irritating, but if you need the site to work...you must submit.

oof... so i didn't even get to try this yet because i had to wrestle a bit with DNS instead >.>  who woulda thought changing a simple DNS setting would be this catastrophic! (my website simply stopping working for over an hour even though i already set it back to default settings)  🤣

But anyway,  this time it didn't send a verification code... i think its just buggy tbh, or maybe it takes a while to "sink in" with their servers. I'll just see what happens for now, if it gets too annoying I'll try unblocking the google stuff.
