Hey everyone,

im asking for your help after a lot of unsuccsesful troubleshooting.
I am struggling with high percentages of packetloss, up to 60%, that make playing games and having conversations on discord an annoyance.

In games i get ping spikes as high as 1000ms and conversations are being cut up into bits.

This only happens on this single device and only over wired connection, how i came to that conclusion follows.

What ive tried and found until now:

When i first noticed the issue i suspected my ISP and therefore took no action, waiting for the problem to solve itself.

Sadly it did not.

So i went on to replace my rather worn and old network cable with a high quality one - No difference.

This is where i begann to test all the devices in my network chain, i was able to rule out my router and my switch by using other devices with the identical connection.

Certain that the problem must be originating from my PC itself i wondered if the network port might be damaged, after buying a PCIE Network Card i can also rule that out.

Updating my BIOS to the newest available Version and letting windows search for new Network Drivers also didnt work.

I do not experience any Packetloss over my WIFI Connection on the same PC, which is what i am using now.

My conclusion after all of this is that it could be a Software Issue or damage to the Motherboard at some place between Network Port and Chip,

but i am honestly at the end of my wits with this one.

If any of you have any advice for me i would be thankful,

Regards

Sven
