Anyway to reduce background noise on the hyperx quadcast?

twisty1_

The title says it all. I want to find a way to reduce background noise so it would be a lot easier for recording and/or possibly streaming.

Turn down gain, move closer to your mouth

Use an intelligence filter like RTX Voice

This is from HyperX themselves:

For a start, make sure that Microphone Boost is off, that microphone gain (the wheel on the bottom) is set to 2nd or 3rd dot, and that the microphone volume in Windows is set to about 60-70%. Using that as base setting, play around with it by slightly increasing/decreasing the gain wheel to see what works the best for you, but also make sure to select the proper pattern.

What I do is what Slott mentioned: RTX Voice / Nvidia Broadcast.

Most OBS has a built in noise suppression / gate filter you can add (although if you use RTX voice you most likely won't need to.

Discord has its own built in Krisp, which works well.

I've no idea how good this mic would be for something like recording music, but in that case you would probably be looking at an XLR mic anyway.

Hope this helps

Other replies are correct, get closer to the mic, turn down the gain, use a gate, try using an intelligent filter like RTX voice but if that degrades your audio quality too much RX8 or Klevgrand Brusfri are great at removing specific, persistant background noises.
