Windows Boot Manager not a boot option

I have a friend who upgraded his motherboard and cpu today and after plugging back in his sata ssd he was not able to boot from it even though it already has windows and he has been using it for a few years. The drive is being detected just not as bootable. To confirm the pc is working with the new parts he booted into an ubuntu installer. Does anyone know what could be going wrong before he just wipes the drive and re-installs windows?

The new motherboard is an ASUS WS C246 PRO and the cpu is an i9 9900KF, I don't know what the old parts were.
