Bluetooth interreference caused by Smart Lightbulb

I got a Smart Lighbulb for like $10 recently and it works well, I can use it with alexa and works fine. Problem is since it's been plugged in my Airpods often start distorting when I'm nearby. The lightbulb offers bluetooth control but im using it on 2.4GHz so im not sure if its the bulb or random?

Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz WiFi use exactly the same frequency band, approximately 2.400 GHz to 2.480 GHz, so it's totally possible for the two to interfere.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Unplug the lightbulb and re-test your AirPods nearby. If the interference goes away, you'll know where the problem is.
