OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Machine: [see siggy]

Ok so my problem is short and self explanatory. Sometimes, not all the time, Windows 7 is slow to start up. It hangs at the "Starting up..." text for an extended period of time. Other/ most times its less then 15 seconds from pushing the powerbutton to the logon screen for me give or take. I'm not sure whats causing it, and I'm not asking if any of you know but I am asking where I can start looking for answers (I.e, event viewer). It's annoying when it happens, and isn't anything serious. But if 2 out of 10 boots is slow, its a problem for me.... Any help you all can offer is greatly appreciated.

I am whatever I am.

i am wondering how long it exactly is? because i have the same issue, it takes like 5 to 10 seconds, but only sometimes. for me the issue was a faulty harddrive, that took a couple times to spin up that will make windows slow to start. Thing is that those things like slowly starting hardware might not be shown as an event in event viewer logs... just saying

Idk, it could be a hard drive, I'm not really sure. The OS is on an SSD, with only a few programs loaded from the HDD (nothing thats loaded at boot anyways).

it doesnt have to load at boot, the computer waits for the hdd anyways. Old hdds can be really slowing the computer down at startup
