My cpu gets really hot when I play valorant

SamHeen

I have an i5-9400f and whenever I even launch valorant, my cpu usage shoots to 100% and 94C. I have a really good case and fairly good cooling and my idle temps are 35C. Is there a way for me to reduce the stress on my cpu? (like maybe "transferring" the load to my gpu?)

Valorant is know todo that. If i remember correctly its coded to use the CPU more then the GPU so it will run on low end machines better.

Either way most ppl found setting the max fps to the screen HZ fixed the 100% load.

No you can no "tranfer" any loads onto your GPU. Like Dujith mentioned you could set a framerate cap in the settings or give your Fans settings a check and see if they actually speed up correctly.

As a last resort you could disable any boosting behavior of your CPU or just lower the power limit on it with intels OC utility.

HZ is refresh rate? if so i capped my fps to 143 with a 144hz monitor

Ok so the only real solution would be an upgrade? and if I dont will that usage % and temperature damage it?

I have a Fractal Meshify C. Alpine 12 CO for CPU cooling and then, 1 random corsair fan for exhaust,  then 2 uphere fans also for exhaust and 2 included fans for intake
