Ram Question Please Help!

So I bought a prebuilt from best buy and it's running fairly well with no problems aside from lacking long terms sustainable ram and storage (which just needs an upgrade). While looking into upgrades for my ram I was aware that I need to try and keep the ram by the same brand as the current stick I have and that MHz is fine to be higher cause it can lower its clock speeds, I'm unaware as to latency because i canty find where or what the latency of my ram stick is or if it matters to be high or lower than the current one I have. I currently haave hyperx fury 16gb ddr4 3200MHz xmp sdram. Is it worth taking a gamble on same hyperx ram with 3600MHz CL18 or 17?

Ideally all the RAM sticks in the computer need to match. The manufacturer may have upgrades available on their website which will guarantee that they are compatible, if the specifications match the existing stick.

As soon as the speed, slot are match, it basically can be paired together. 

 

But to get the highest performance, all the RAM must be matched.
