TP Link makes good ones, We turned our ISP Supplied router into "Modem Mode" Plugged an ethernet cable from it to the TP Link router and moved everything over to it and it worked fine.

Range maybe. It seems like the 5.0 Ghz just cuts in and out sometimes. I tried casting to my music group and everything was just cutting in and out.

5GHz is much lower range than 2.4Ghz. It's for fast, close devices.

Is your 2.4 ok?

It's better. I mean the 5.0 has issues when I'm standing right next to it sometimes. I reset everything and then connect to the 5.0 and  then swiches to the 2.4.

Other times it seems good for while. The system the ISP has setup is so confusing as it is. I added a few pictures to show what I mean.

Seeing the complicated networks people have makes me feel slightly bad and somewhat guilty for "getting away with it" by having my ISP's router in modem mode and running 3 Amazon eero's (two of which connected rj45).

It's not the setup I would have designed, but I'm afraid of changing it incase I break something.

If I bought something like this Archer C2300would I replace the wifi router on the shelf, or could I replace the modem connected to the ONT? I believe the one on the shelf it does wifi, while the other one has wifi disabled and just does the wired internet?

How hard would this be to accomplish? I'm not very network savvy so I would be afraid of breaking something.

The current WiFi extender I would replace is an Actiotec Wcb3000N, not even sure if that's any good or not.
