Thanks for the suggestions. Any reason to go with a ddr4 board and ram instead of a ddr5 board?

There is many reason to go with DDR4 and no reason to go with DDR5.

1. Cost.

2. Availability.

3. Little to no performance improvement.

DDR5 makes absolutely no sense unless you are going with 12900K and very high end motherboard, Other parts are also very high end and you still have remaining money to buy DDR5. It's too expensive, It will cost more than if you where to buy I9 instead of I7 and performance improvement won't be noticable.

And don't even try to mention future proofing... First, There is not such thing as future proofing. Second, Current DDR5 boards only supports up to 6400MHz memory. Currently tested 6000MHz memory VS 3600MHz DDR4 is not an improvement, So current high speed DDR4 is way better option. It's way cheaper, Motherboard for it is cheaper and performance is good. It is also stable. And you will be able to upgrade to DDR5 and new motherboard for current cost of only DDR5 RAM, Most likely less.
