Hello,

Good day, what does AMD Optimized RAM mean for Intel builds?

Planning to get this RAM for my Intel build: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B081BTGNDH/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1

I am quite confused with the naming "AMD Optimized" like I might encounter any performance issue.

May you tell me all  the differences using the RAM above for AMD vs Intel?

Thanks,

Jacob

"Optimized" is more of a marketing use. It won't affect anything in terms of performance. "Validated" would be what you want to look for if you want compatibility.

In general, Ryzen likes faster speed RAM and will perform better with higher speed RAM, where Intel can perform similarly with slightly slower speed RAM.

Do you have a reason for a 64GB 3600MHz kit of RAM?

Despite what many people will tell you RAM speed does not matter much with Intel CPUs. It’s not really worth paying extra for RAM over 3200 MHz. Sure you may see an increase in performance in a benchmark but in everyday use you won’t notice it.
