Is getting a 5600g as an upgrade better than getting a 1650 super? or should i get a 1650 super?

Ignore the manufacture process when thinking about CPUs. There are 22nm CPUs that are faster than some 12nm CPUs. It only really affects temps, everything else is the actual design of the chips. 

 

What video editing software are you using? A lot of them are GPU accelerated, and a 1650S would do make a big difference if it is.

im using mostly vegas pro and premiere pro. talking about the nm, thats funny because i have a cooler that is made for 150w tdp cpus.

Not sure about Vegas, but I believe Premiere does use GPU acceleration for a lot of stuff. I would get a better GPU for what you're trying to do.

i bought this cpu back in june. it was only like 200 dollars. i dont know why it became so expensive.
