i have a asus h61m lx3 plus motherboard which has 2 ddr3 slots with a maximum of 1333mhz and 16gb of capacity.will a non supported ddr3 dimm with 1600mhz work in it?

IF it works.. And that's a huge IF and an even bigger gamble, why exactly would you even want to do that?

I would avoid adding non-supported RAM like the plague.

So if you don't want to be plagued with problem after problem, then for the sake of all that's holy... Don't do it.

Non supported DDR3 ram? You mean ECC ram?

Yes 1600 mhz will  work but it will only run on 1333 mhz

no one can really say for sure you can try it if you have the ram kit but I would not risk buying the wrong speed ram

PC specs.3570k, asus p8z77m pro, 8gb corsair vengence 1600MHz, XFX 550w, seagate barracuda 1TB, MSI 660ti, cooler master k350, cooler master hyper tx3 evo.

no not ecc on the site they have a list of supported ram sticks but they're quite a few of them and also impossible to find on the market

Chances are that any standard DDR3 ram will work just fine. Ram isn't inherently any speed. Kits are rated to work up to certain frequencies. Going lower is not at all a problem since any frequency above 1333 is considered oc'ing.

There's also many, many MANY different kits of ram. No motherboard manufacturer will likely have a complete list not to mention keeping it updated.
