Looking to upgrade from a 12 year Dell desktop

Inspiron 530 w/Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400  @ 3.00GHz

8 Gb of RAM

ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT

Anything at this point would be better, but I am looking to have some more options to add to this one later on.  I have a parts list link from parts picker based on what I've scene on LTT and gathered from other youtubers builds for something similar.  Went with a Ryzen 5600G because I'm willing to wait for graphics cards to come down in price.  Everything else is negotiable on the list.  Accessories like keyboard and mouse will be scavenged from the Dell for now.

I know PS5 and LR6 are older programs, but at the moment I'm really not in the mood or can justify giving Adobe money on a regular basis.  I'll probably do some gaming on it on occasion, but that will not be it's main job.

Any other advice, suggestions or questions are welcome.  Thanks.

Consider an Alder Lake build instead. According to Puget Systems benchmarks the new i5-12600k offers Photoshop performance marginally better than a 5800X.
