CPU: Ryzen 5 5600g

Motherboard: MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk

Ram: OLOy WarHawk RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB)

SSD: Crucial P5 1tb nvme

GPU: Nvidia FE RTX 3070

Case: COUGAR Gemini S

Power supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GA

Win 10

I am having an issue where the screen goes black for a second and comes back. Happens randomly. windows error reports live kernel event 141every time it happens. I checked device manager and It shows both the Nvidia driver and the microsoft basic display adapter, with an error on the miscrosoft basic display adapter, see screenshot. I uninstall the Microsoft adapter but this does not solve the problem and the device comes back after restart.

I have exchanged the motherboard, the ssd and tried another PSU. I tried the graphics card in another PC and it ran without issues. I did not try another GPU in this PC. I used the ram in another PC for a while and it ran without issues. The only thing I have not tried changing is the CPU.

Sounds like your onboard graphics may still be enabled in the BIOS, check that and if enabled, disable.

Thanks, but that didn't help. I just tried with 1070ti I have in another PC and I didn't get any errors. I'm wondering if it's the power supply. I know this PSU has problems with the 3080/3090, but the 3070 should be fine

Are you 100% sure it's disabled? If you've still got a Microsoft basic adapter in device manager then something is still there. What happens when you uninstall that basic adapter and reboot?

Sorry I didn't explicitly correctly. The basic adapter is gone and does not reinstall now. However I am still getting black screen and live kernel event 141.
