installing hard drive

hello,how can you use a secondary hard drive without installing windows in it.and can i use it just as storage

Yes, you can use another hard drive for data storage without having to install an operating system on it

Can you be more specific?

As adding a (secondary) drive in your computer does not compel to install OS on it.

I edit my posts more often than not

Just put it in the PC and connect the cables if it is SATA. Then start up Windows normally before you right click Start menu and choose Disk Management to open it in right click menu.

Locate your drive to initialize and create partition on it.

i have a seagate sshd 1tb and it has windows in it but when i boot my pc they sometimes w=switch from the 1st hhd to the 2nd hhd but i want the first hhd to be the main one to boot

i already did it but how can i remove the os in it while its the secondary hhd or i just format
