I am currently running a Radeon RX 590 that usually plays games just fine, but has developed some instability and coil whine over time. I am looking at upgrading to a RX 6600 but they are anywhere from $530-$650+ US. Is it worth it to keep holding back or should I just buy a new card? I already have a power supply and case that would fit it perfectly.

Is it worth it? I need some input.

@iMxmo I have been experiancing some crashes, in one case it crashed and corrupted my drivers.

It is also important to note that I am also running Windows 11 which is slightly buggy, but I also have been experiancing these problems with windows 10. From what i've seen these cards dont have a great reputation and the problems I am experianceing are pretty common for this card.

Might be more of that PSU's fault than the card. What have you done to try and combat these crashes?

Have you tried to ensure graphics drivers are up to date? What about DDU (Direct Driver Uninstall)? Any temperature issues?

You should also try running memtest86, or even taking a look at the CPU. OCCT and HWiNFO are useful tools.

Definitley not the PSU. Its a brand new 750 watt gold rated.

I did uninstall and reinstall the drivers, I also got the updated ones for Windows 11.

The main concern is the coil whine and really bad audio interference probelms I've been having.

I think its worth it to sell your card for $450+ then buy rx 6600 or 6600xt or rtx 3060

You got a new card with active warranty and no issue and better performance for a little extra $
