This was an Acer Aspire ITX Small Form Factor pc from wally world originally. I still have the original pc and the new one I built up using non-working system. Removed all brand markings from it to make it my own by sanding down raised logo and then polishing it. I really like the size of this desktop box.

I was given three HP laptops from family member who is no longer using these for some reason. In one of them I have found an Intel Optane Memory H10 with Solid State Storage. 16gb Optane and 256gb Nand.

After watching one your videos about Optane, I figured maybe I could use this in my system. Curious how the ram on it would work with my ram. The laptop had ram in it, so I'm thinking from the video that the Optane is only working this the SSD? Then was also wonder about storing my programs on this SSD rather than the HDD, as I also guessing this Intel device is not counting how many times its written to a specific area.

Would it work making system faster in your opinion?

While I have your attention. I have one slot for a graphics card however I have two problems it needs to be half height and around 6.75" in length. Thinking of second power supply and putting card on outside.

Can you think of a card that would be better than built in graphics of the processor?

First off, the Optane SSD is just a normal M.2 SSD and for the most part will be treated as such. No the 16GB of optane isn't really normal RAM nor does it interact as such. You only have a quarter terabyte of SSD space, so only install programs and games on it that you would play a lot and be hugely improved with fast loading times. And yes, it is counting how many times it is written to a specific area, this is a feature absolutely necessary to make the drive last a long time.

This may not help for your GPU, because I can't if there are even any expansion card fingers on the back of the computer for you to install a half height card, but they exist. https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?d=low+profile+video+cards&N=601332298 601273503 100007709
If you dont need something that powerful, you can also get GT 730 and GT 750 low profile cards.

Fuck you scalpers, fuck you scammers, fuck all of you jerks that charge way too much to tech-illiterate people.

Unless I say I am speaking from experience or can confirm my expertise, assume it is an educated guess.

Thanks for the response. The Intel M.2 is alot faster than the Western Digital I had. Tried installing the Optane software and failed as I didn't have the right chipset.

There are two half height slot openings on back of case. One actually on one slot. I have bought a Zotach GT730, 4gb DDR3 card (cheap). I don't really play games but will help with my video processing maybe. Looking at mounting outside of the case as power supply isn't that big. Zotach says allow 60w and recommends 300w PSU. Thinking of removing the DVD and 3.5" HDD and putting in a 2.5" hdd to save power and put in the case. Nice thing is if it works there are alot of vent holes right there and it's the top of the case for heat to escape.
