No, not covid fortunately.  Instead, it's the PC building compulsion.

Set up a machine for my sister and came in under $650 US (with several components on sale on Newegg at the time) so she could do accounting with.  She doesn't really game, so the 570 went in because I had one.  I'll probably gift her a better memory kit later on.  Need to research a better kit for my gaming rig, so when I upgrade, she'll get my current 16 GB (2x8 GB) CL15 3200 MHz kit.

As with my gaming rig, I intake the top and front and exhaust out the back.  Again, no real RGB to speak of unless you count the case lights.

How'd I do?  She was looking at some landfill fod... er, a Dell at the same price point before I offered to build her one.  I had to make some difficult sacrifices (storage and memory) to make the budget work.

Sticking an 11 year old used gaming GPU in a system that she relies on for work is kind of dubious.

It was that or no display.  I'd completed the build right before the G-series Ryzen processors were released, and I was unaware AMD was even going to release them.  The card wasn't used for mining (obviously), and remains stable.  It's more than plenty for her needs.  Because of the compromise I had to make for system memory, I didn't really want to sacrifice any more for an integrated graphics solution anyway.  A dedicated graphics solution she didn't have to pay for seemed a better option.

Your build was so perfect! Super nice cable guilding!

Hmm, I recommend you to add a 512GB or 1TB HDD in case you need to store some data is not game/OS.

Thanks!
