First started a few months ago, my video will cut outright (black screen) but I can still hear audio, it stays like that for a few seconds then audio cuts off entirely, nothing brings back windows (probably hard crash) but my computer is still physically on... I have to force reset by holding down power button, these crashes happen at extremely random times. In recent months they've been getting more and more frequent, not frequent enough to interrupt serious tasks but noticeably more than usually. Most amount of times I had it in a single day was 4 or 5...

Friend said it was a PSU problem, I bought a new PSU (needed one anyways) and it didn't fix it.

Found some online threads saying it's my graphics drivers, reinstalled them entirely. Didn't fix.

Some people on here said it was a window's error, reinstalled, didn't fix.

Some people said to unplug and re-seed everything, didn't fix.

Some people said it was a ram issue but I don't think so ( haven't tried but can't buy a new set rn )

Helpfull to be able to pinpoint issues are system specs =)

so without any a wild guess... lucky shot...

Got a Nvidia GFX Card? made a driver update and afterwards it started happening?

DDU the driver in safe mode, get an older one and install that and see if the problem still occurs...

why my try at that? I had exact that issue, and here it was a broken driver version from NVidia... I went back half a year in age of the driver, installed that and everything was fine...

I found out because after some of those crashes windwos itself did a system rollback without me being able to stop it... factory reset...

Everything was fine until I installed that freshly downloaded driver... the whole issue started again...

Sorry lol, hopefully you see this.

CPU - Ryzen 3600 (I just upgraded today to the Ryzen 5 5600x)

RAM - 16gb DDR4 2600MHZ

GPU - GTX 1660 super

PSU - some corsair 550 watt PSU. can't remember version, gold standard.

I got 3 fans, don't think it's overheating.

P.S - Not sure if it's a graphical issue, i've updated drivers numerous times over the months this issue has been occuring. Also have factory reset multiple times over the years purely because why not.
