Building my first PC and I need help....

Hi everyone,

I've been saving up for a while and am finally able to purchase my first pc. I am probably planning to build it myself as the prebuilts I can find so far are way too expensive for what they are.

Budget (including currency): Since this is my first PC the budget would be a max of 1500 AUD including monitor maybe - slightly flexible.

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: It will be used for both gaming and digital art. I mainly play apex, league, gta, dead by daylight, genshin impact, valorant and I couple others I can't remember off the top of my head. I'll also be using this pc for schoolwork and/or digital art.

Other details

Currently I'm playing on a crappy hp laptop that I can't even remember the specs of ahah. I'll also need monitor suggestions as well as I'm not sure what to buy -  but I'll probably be playing 1080p. I know the gpu market right now is crazy but I did see a new 1650 going for 360 AUD and was wondering if I should get it before it goes for this build.

Thanks in advance!

Totally wrong!

Only better thing in your list is CPU. B460 doesn't support RAM overcklocking, That cooler won't be able to keep I7 cool, That is not possible, Especially in such bad case...

It could be better this way, If op is willing to sacrifice screen size for a CPU.

Thanks for the suggestions both of you but I think I'd prefer to sacrifice the extra cpu power for a larger screen. I believe I'm going to go with an atx mid tower case - although its slightly more expensive than the one you recommended.  Would you recommend going with a micro atx motherboard or just atx in this case? thanks!
