Could it be?

NARAKU_KAT

Well, i just got a trial version of Avast! Internet Security because my old free antivirus version told me i needed the "Grime Frighter"  service to control some "things" that were actually making my pc slower and less responsive, i realized it was slower than when i just got my web browser, but the Avast thing is not for free and then it took me some days to decide to download malwarebytes just in case there was anything wrong.

I just installed and ran MB for the frist time and it showed me about 40 PUP files and something that sounded like someone was actually stealing data from my pc, i put in quarantine, then deleted all the stuff (most of that was Iminent junk) and now i have the feeling my Internet is running faster, my question is:

Is that possible, to have a slow pc just because of malware infecting it?

Do you have all the options selected when you run it? Also run the debug thing under the clean option.

I would also run Malwarebytes.
