New Streaming/Editing Station

Budget (including currency): $3k MAX

Country: United States [South]

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Streaming (YT), Editing (Davinci Resolve), Games [Minecraft, Scrap Mechanic], Programing, AI Training

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Probably Need at least one more monitor, but I have keyboard mouse and mic. Preferred Peripherals are RAZER.

I do not want it to be better than a MSI GS65 Stealth -> 9th Gen Intel i7-9750/NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1660Ti [Current System will be converted to a Linux testing station]

This is my first PC build so almost anything could help.

Currently looking at:

Intel I5 - 12600k

NIVIDA GPU [not sure on the model yet not necessarily stuck to NIVIDA]

16Gb RAM min

NVME SSD [prefer 1 TB]

I have no clue when it comes to cases. What works well what doesn't where to buy lol.

RGB is nice.

I want to have this build done by May Next year as i am about to graduate and my Uni provides all students with an emergency copy of windows like if you totally deleted off the PC you just built.

Yeah, I am positive you would say this joke

This should be a good build for you.

6900XT, Because it's only GPU available in current market for your budget that is worth buying.

if you have a way of obtaining different GPU, You can do so. 3080 or 3080 ti will also be good buy.

I disagree.

1. Ugly cooler in beautiful rig, Whyy???

2. Why pay that much money in Gen4 2TB drive? No need for that.

3. What the hell he needs 1000W PSU for?

4. Buying no RGB case and increasing system cost with stupidly expensive fans?

5. You recommend many of very expensive parts and left money for only 3070, Why? 😳 With balanced list he can buy way better GPU without loosing any performance on any of other parts...

not my problem >:) but if you want to spend an extra $70 go ahead

so that all your files except media are on SSD, which in my case is ~1.5tb

future proofing resisting, along with some extra headroom and room for upgradability

performance above rgb

3080 is ~$1800, so Idk how reasonable it is to get a better one, though he might be able to slip in a 3070ti and stick under 3k

OK so i have some but a good bit of it I will earn over Christmas break and my refund from my UNI [senior year and my uni allows us to take a discount when we reduce the number of hours taken]
What parts are the most volatile on average.
Looks like the GPU/CPU

I have ~ 1k I can get before christmas, but not much more)

No, You did not! Maybe checking others suggestions before suggesting something?

List I suggested includes 6900XT, 3070 not even comparable to 6900XT, You downgraded performance by a lot because wasting lot of money in unnecessary things in system as well as doesn't consider OP's preferences, So your suggestion is very bad!

I also stated that I am not stuck with NIVIDA. I am familiar with it so if there are equivalent options I would choose NIVIDIA, but if AMD at that price point is better I will choose AMD. Please slow it down dude.

I essentially saw it as a better deal to go for 3070 or 3070ti, as the difference is ~15% for the 3070, and 10% for the 6900XT, yet it costs ~30% more than the 3070, and I am fairly sure the 6900XT also misses some key features like DLSS

12700k vs 12900k is not a very big difference in performance

the sabrent rocket Q is also significantly slower than the 4.0 plus version iirc

if you only need 2tb of storage, you can feel free to remove the hdd, only point for it being extended storage for things like media
