Requesting SSD information

I've been using a 120GB SSD and to my knowledge an SSD has a fixed capacity for creating, copy/pasting and downloading data. Therefore I've been using external drives for some heavy files and folders.

 

I'm curious to know that:

 

1)  What is the total capacity for  creating, copy/pasting and downloading data ?

 

2)  How many GB's have been used up and how many do I have remaining? Is there some kind of a software/application that I can use ?

I usually use Crystal Disk Info for checking.

download any version and try it out.

it does not tell you "How many are left" but it shows you your drive health.

Then you've misunderstood it, there isn't a limit to the write or read data amount on an SSD. TBW is a warranty rating, go beyond it and they fail your warranty, but it doesn't mean it won't work afterwards.

That depends on the SSD's model and capacity

On better drives, it will just fail the drive when you run out of remap space for bad cells, or reach your total TBW.  The cells to wear out based on write cycles - yes, you can go above the TBW number on some drives, but usually not by very much before the drive hard fails.  On some drives, when you reach your write limit the drive will go into read-only mode so it can guarantee you can get the data out.
